Cutting panels to size
The Decowall wall panels are easy to saw to size. To do this, use the items on the supplies list.
Step 1
If necessary, cut the panel to the correct height with a fine-toothed handsaw. Tape off the slats first.
Step 2
Then, if necessary, make the width to size by cutting the felt. Cut with a sharp Stanley knife right next to the last slat you want to keep.
Installation on the wall
Because our Decowall Acoustic panels have a layer of felt, they have a sound-damping effect. By mounting the panels directly on the wall, you can make it easy on yourself and improve the atmosphere and acoustics of your room in no time.
First check that you have the right supplies to hand and then follow the step-by-step plan below.
Step 1
Using a spirit level, draw a line where you want the first panel (A).
Step 2
Apply glue to the back of the panel (B) and glue it in place. Press the entire panel down firmly (C).
Step 3
Glue the second panel in place and allow it to align well with the first panel (D).
Step 4
Continue like this until all panels are glued. The panel with the
sticker on the back is fitted last (E).
Step 5
If you only cover part of the wall with panels, you can finish the slatted wall with an end profile. This can be on the side, top or bottom of the slatted wall, or mitred around the slatted wall. See illustrations F, G and H.

Installation on the ceiling
To install the Decowall panels on the ceiling, you will need additional tools and mounting materials. Check the supplies carefully before you start mounting.
Step 1
Apply adhesive to the back of the panel (B).
Step 2
Stick the panel to the desired location on the ceiling.
Step 3
Press the panel firmly into place.
Step 4
Screw the panel in place. Keep a maximum distance of 60 cm between screws (I).
Step 5
Repeat these steps with each panel until your slatted ceiling is complete (J). Finish with the panel with the sticker on the back.
Installation with battens and insulation
Do you want to improve insulation in your home with your slatted wall? Then you can install battens and insulation material between the wall and the slatted wall. For this, you will need additional tools and materials and go through a number of extra steps to assemble your slatted wall.
To install the Decowall with battens and insulation material, you will need additional materials. First get all the supplies you need and then get started.
Step 1
Fix the wooden battens on the wall with a maximum distance of 60 cm between the battens (K).
Step 2
Apply the insulation between the battens (L).
Step 3
